New York Power Authority Smart Path Transmission Line

As part of NYPA’s construction of approximately 78 miles of 345kv transmission line from Massena to Croghan, Geomatics Land Surveying is the sub-consultant surveyor responsible for construction staking of critical environmental areas, wetlands, roads, timber mats, work pads, and other elements for this three year $750 million infrastructure project.

Lake Placid Olympic Venues

Mt. Van Hoevenburg Bobsled/Luge/Skeleton/Cross-Country/Biathlon Venues

Geomatics Land Surveying performed a topographic field survey of the entire 300 acres complex for the design of comprehensive improvements for the entire venue, including a new lodge, support buildings, mountain coaster, biathlon stadium, ski trails, drainage, and refrigeration systems.

Intervale Ski Jumps

Geomatics Land Surveying, PC provided survey support and construction staking for
the rehabilitation of the ski jump in runs, and for the reconstruction of new jump outruns, including elevated jump foundations and platforms, and as-built of the plan and profiles for the entire HS100 and HS120 ski jump structures.

Saranac Lake Coal Gas Plant Remediation

The coal gas hazardous waste site area in Saranac Lake was remediated as part of a multi-year clean-up of tar deposits located below grade on the former gas site and silting into an adjacent brook and on into Lake Flower. Geomatics Land Surveying was retained to provide an initial boundary survey for the entire coal gas site, for existing conditions topographic surveys, and for as-built.
